Finale tomorrow:
Thirty points are up for grabs in the first round with contestants having 60 minutes to create a dish based on one hero ingredient.
The second round, for another 30 points, is a main course with no rules — any cuisine, any style, any ingredients.
The final round, for 40 points, is an epic five-and-a-half hour cook to recreate a dessert created by Heston Blumenthal and his head chef at Dinner by Heston, Ashley Palmer-Watts.
No service challenge??

Surely that Taffety Tart is not more complicated than last year dessert LOL, no, I didn't mean that was the finale dish. I thought they must have gone to Heston's restaurant to celebrate the end of season 8 after filming the finale, and that taffety tart was on the menu. I'm convinced the finale dish is another specially commissioned dish just for the finale, so we will only find out tonight.

LOL, very interesting! I still think the producers meant to have a male contestant, i.e. Matt, winning this year, just did not expect him to fail at the last hurdle.
