Butter Cookies 牛油饼干Recipe from Kitchen Notes on Fenying's radio program, Wednesday, December 27, 2006Ingredients:250g butter 100g castor sugar 1 egg yolk ¼ tsp vanilla oil (or extract) Sift together:350g plain flour 30g custard powder Method:1. Cream butter and castor sugar till light and fluffy. 2. Add egg yolk and vanilla oil, mix well. 3. Fold in the sifted flours (plain flour & custard powder) with low speed and mix into a soft dough. 4. Form into balls, use a fork to flatten, sprinkle on top with some extra sugar. 5. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180°C for about 20 mins till golden brown. Remove, leave to cool before storing.
