Deep-Fried Beehive 炸蜂巢Recipe from Kitchen Notes on Fenying's radio program, Thursday, February 1, 2007Ingredients:A:3 eggs 165g sugar B:350g thick coconut milk (from 1 coconut) C:100g rice flour 粘米粉 50g plain flour 25g starch flour (tapioca flour) Method:1. Beat eggs and sugar till sugar dissolves. 2. Add coconut milk and mix well. 3. Add Ingredients C and mix well. Strain. 4. Heat oil in wok. Place beehive mould in heated oil and heat mould till hot. Remove and dip into mixture to coat the mould. Return mould to hot oil and deep-fry for a few seconds so the mixture harden. Shake the mould to loosen the mixture and continue to fry till golden brown (turning it for even frying), at the same time you can use the mould to start making the second beehive.
