Yes, it is true that the title could change depending on who agrees to come back. If can't get enough winners to come back (or, alternatively, all winners agree to come back), could change the theme

I'm also dubious that any previous winners would want to come back and compete again. What if one of the winners became the first one eliminated? That would not do well for their "reputation" as a previous winner, so to speak.
If it was a charity season, like the first all-star, that is a different story as they were just competing for fun.

I think the reason that Gary, Matt & George clicked on MasterChef was the format of the show where contestants support each other while in a competitive environment. And also it is about individual contestant, so the judges became mentors at the same time which endear viewers. Without that sort of atmosphere in the show, the 3 judges would not have been so loved.
If it is in teams, the interaction with the judges is totally different, as it concentrates more on the interactions between the members of the team, less so with the judges. It will also be interesting to see if Channel 7 can make the new show where there is no bitching or fake drama?

Have to wait until filming begins now that the new judges are in place, maybe early next year since no auditions for next season? Can follow Jock or Andy's social medias to see when they are in Melbourne to predict start of filming time.

The plot thickens, though this does seem rather convenient as an excuse while they wait for the heat on George to die down a bit

Very odd too, what is going to happen to Manu as the third judge on that new show? Does this mean Manu will only appear for one season, then George replaces him?

The judges don't make the show. If Ch 7 can't get the format right, the show will fail.
