Is either Trent or Harry working somewhere at the moment? If not, then maybe one of them is the winner? Just waiting for the finale then can announce job offer from Heston???

I also saw that ratings this year have been good on Tuesdays. I think final will be on a Tuesday. That seems to make the most sense

Matt is now working in a restaurant in Noosa. Also Matt never tweeted and does not follow anyone on his twitter account. Wonder why? He does have some activities on his Instagram Maybe he did not win? He did not get a job offer from Heston? Matt always wanted a food truck, Heston style is not foe him. Maybe he is just being practical and try to get as much experience before the winner is announced. I read a spoiler that he is the winner. But we knew they shoot 2 endings. Unless it was so obvious that Matt will win. Anyway, at this stage he is a stand out. Hope he wins. Cant stand Harry

Cant stand Harry Agreed that Matt is the most deserving winner this year. However I've become a Harry fan, did not think much of him in the beginning, LOL. Usually I can't stand young contestants, re- Callum (S2) and Laura (S6), did not think both of them deserved to be in the finale, because the judges practically held their hands to the final. However Harry has proven he can stand on his own two feet, and so far this season, he's the only contestant who has tried to do a wide variety of dishes (and he hasn't lumped Asia into one big country, LOL), albeit not all of them successfully. Matt, although very skillful and has all the techniques, only ever did meat/veg/sauce type dishes, haven't seen too many variety from him. As for the other contender, Trent, still iffy, unless he does an Andy-style miraculous transformation in these final two weeks...

Am I right that Gary is only following Matt Elise and Mimi?

I just remember, didn't they film the winner announcement just hours before broadcast? So last year Georgia would not have known the result until the day of finale broadcast? It would be the same this year, I assume.

It would be the same this year, I assume. I thought that was only for Season 2. After that they followed MKR and filmed 2 endings. They can't film the announcement just before finale broadcast. It means getting everyone, including guest chefs back. Also many will have change in the way they look. But I also think it is quite bizarre to film the 2 endings when one get offered a job at Fat Duck. Like last year, Heston must also been filmed offering a job to Georgia (as if she won) or else everyone will know Billie had won.

In the preview of Grand final last night, Heston walked in with his head chef Ashley Palmer-Watts carrying the cloche, this is the first time Ashley has appeared on Masterchef. From his Instagram, they flew in to Sydney, then Melbourne on May 2. He tweeted this dish from Dinner By Heston on May 6, the Taffety Tart, one of the dishes they did during Heston Week, probably after filming the grand final. http://instagram.com/p/BFEVqeNLv-1 Wonder if the producer commissioned a special Pressure Test dish for the grand finale like they did with Christy Tania's Mistique?
